Who we are
Transforming Employability for Social Change in East Africa (TESCEA) is a partnership of seven organisations dedicated to helping young people in East Africa to use their skills and ideas to tackle social and economic problems. We do this by supporting universities, industries, communities and government to work together to create an improved learning experience for students.
Originally funded by the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office as part of the SPHEIR (Strategic Partnerships for Higher Education Innovation and Reform) programme (from 2017-2021), the TESCEA partnership has developed and tested a new, East African-led model for transforming learning in undergraduate education: Transforming Higher Education for Social Change.
